Der fliegende Hollaender / The flying Dutchman is an opera of Richard Wagner. In 2006/07 Arila Siegert did a staging at the Landestheater Neustrelitz. Hans Dieter Schaal did the stage design, Marie-Luise Strandt the costumes and Stefan Malzew was the conductor, who was as well the director of opera. My part was assistant director of Arila Siegert.
It was my third work with her and I'm silll glad of these experiences. To be with such a material, as the music and the libretto of Wagner is, for seven, eight weeks and the work with the singers and the chorus was great and I loved it.
The production also was showed at the Stadttheater Itzehoe
and the Opera Lésna in Sopot / Poland (... wszystkie kwestie beda uzgadniane z asystentem, panem Michaelem Pfänderem).
This production was nominated for The Production of the
Year 2007 and is documented in the archiv of the Akademie
der Künste, Berlin.
